Prepare and submit manuscript using Microsoft Word.

  • Times New Roman, Font 12
  • Double spacing
  • Headings: Use Style Headings in Microsoft Word (Word 2003 style set)
  • Footnotes and Endnotes: Use sparingly, and only if absolutely necessary

·         Prose is preferred. Where bullets are absolutely necessary, use —. For sub-listings, follow with arrows, then ticks.

·         Numerals: Bracketed Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3). For sub-listings, this may be followed by lower case bracketed Roman alphabet (a,b,c) and, subsequently, bracketed Roman numerals (i,ii,iii)

·         Both 1st and 3rd person voice may be used. The choice should be consistent in the manuscript

·         Italicise non-English words and translate where necessary

·         Use ‘normal’ margin parameters – 2.54 cm all round.

·         Favour brevity, clarity and conciseness

Write all abbreviations in full at first mention within the manuscript.

Where available, place acknowledgements at the end of the manuscript, before the list of references.

Place the list of references before any appendices.

Include appendices only where necessary to enhancing understanding of content. Label appendices using Roman numerals as Appendix I, II, III etc.

Limit self-referentials. These should initially be blacked out prior to manuscript submission for blind peer review purposes; they may, subsequently, be included.
